Are you affiliated with Ikea?

No, we are independent. We just love Ikea meatballs and shopping.

Do you get a discount because of the volume you buy?

Nope, the price you see is the price we pay, just like everyone else.

Do you sell Ikea Products?

We do not sell Ikea products; however, from time to time we will bring in extra items or have unopened returns that you can purchase. We charge the original cost of the item plus applicable shipping.

How often do you go to Ikea?

Every Wednesday with earliest pickup dates on the following Friday. 

Where do I get a catalogue?

If Ikea's shipping rate is less do you match it?

No, we are an expedited shipping company that ships Everything IKEA  including items you cannot buy online from the store 

Place your order by Monday and we'll have your IKEA order delivered and/or ready for pickup as early as Friday.

*All shipping is based on the original price of the item(s)*

How long does it take to get my order?

We pride ourselves in faster delivery. Depending when the order is placed, the longest you will have to wait is 6 calendar days.

Why do you have pick up locations?

We have our Warehouse now open in Kelowna! Your orders are ready for pickup every Friday! No more waiting 3 weeks for Ikea's Standard delivery service

How much does it cost to have my order delivered?

Home delivery fees is our standard shipping rate with an additional $50.00 per entire order within 20 km or our pick up locations. If you are outside of this area, please contact us for a quote.  

What if I can’t make it to the pick-up location on time?

No problems, give us a call. We are extremely flexible and want to ensure that you get your order.

Are you able to store my order for 2 weeks?

Yes, we can hold on to your order for up to 2 weeks. If you wish for it to be held longer, please contact us to make arrangements.

What do I do if my furniture is damaged?

No need to fret, we will return the damaged piece(s) on our next trip to IKEA® and exchange them for new ones at no additional cost to you. If you realize your furniture is damaged please call us immediately so we can remedy the situation and get new parts for you ASAP. For more details check out our policies.

What happens if my furniture is out-of-stock?

If any part of an order is out-of-stock Dash of Modern will pick those items up on our next trip to IKEA unless the customer requests to cancel that part of the order. For further info about out-of-stock items please see ​our ​policies page​.

Are Ikea products easy to assemble?

That is dependent on your skills and your patience. Some items are very easy and others are more challenging and require more than one person. Ikea cartoon instructions are a language in itself.

How much does it cost to assemble my items?

Kelowna & West Kelowna- Zone 1

Items less than $300  assemby is 99 + gst

Over 300 or more,  its $50 +  20% of the total


Penticton & Vernon Zone 2

Items less than $300 in assembly is 129 + gst

Over 300 or more, its  129 + 20% of product 

Clean up time is free of charge.

What should I do before you arrive?

Please ensure that the area that your new product will be is clear and that the floor space is swept or vacuumed.

Customers are responsible for ensuring their floors are protected 

What should I do after you leave?

Enjoy your new Ikea product, visit our Facebook page, submit a photo and brag to the world about your new addition and our incredible service! Everyone loves to brag!

What kind of projects do you do?

If it involves decorating, staging, assembly, installation of Ikea products, we will do it. Kitchens, bathrooms or show rooms, the possibilities are endless.

Can Dash of Modern support a multi-unit facility?

We love Multi-unit facilities!

Will you assist in the design?

We can and will assist in any way possible. Layout, colors, material are our specialties.

I have a development in the planning stages, what can you offer?

We can assist in planning, purchasing, delivery and installation. We will work closely with you and the other contractors to ensure that the end result is better then you imagined.

Do I have the option of installing the products myself?

Absolutely, we are very flexible. Contact us to sort out the details.

What about electrical and plumbing?

We do not do electrical or plumbing; however, we excel at collaborating closely with your sub-contractors to ensure the highest possible finished product.
